Psicología de la participación turística en comunidades amazónicas: identidad de lugar, motivación y competencias en Pablo Sexto (Ecuador)

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los aspectos psicológicos de la participación turística en Pablo Sexto, cantón de la provincia de Morona Santiago, Ecuador, desde los constructos fundamentales de la psicología educativa: motivación, identidad de lugar, actitud y competencia. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos originales de evaluación psicológica, con escala Likert de cinco niveles, a 117 miembros de la comunidad local y a 83 estudiantes universitarios de turismo, evaluando cuatro dimensiones en cada grupo. El análisis indicó que la comunidad presenta un perfil de competencia psicológica en un nivel bajo-medio (M global = 3.00), siendo el conocimiento (M = 2.77) y la comunicación (M = 2.81) los focos críticos de intervención. En contraste, los estudiantes muestran una orientación motivacional elevada (M global = 3.59), especialmente en la motivación turística intrínseca (M = 3.81; α = 0.972). Los hallazgos se interpretan a la luz de la Teoría de la Autodeterminación, la Teoría del Comportamiento Planificado y el constructo de identidad de lugar. Se concluye que la brecha motivacional entre la comunidad y los estudiantes representa una oportunidad para el diseño de intervenciones psicoeducativas articuladas con programas de vinculación academia-comunidad.
